Rotan ISD Trustees got a technology briefing earlier this week, hearing about not only the improvements across the district but were also educated on the board’s new devices and the district’s new App it launched along with a fresh website.
Aspermont City Secretary Tammy Gibson swore in newly appointed council members Blake Fryer and Cody Myers on Tuesday, filling vacancies left after councilmen Jackie Bingham and Lane Smith’s resignations this summer. Fryer will serve the remainder of a one-year term, and Myers will serve out the longer two-year term.

What a great couple of weeks for the Historical Commission. The morning of the Fisher County Rodeo Parade, the Commission held an Open House at the Museum. We had a great many stop by to view our museum and look over the collections, while enjoying ice cold water and cookies.

Double Mountain Chronicle Editor The Rotan City Council approved purchasing a 6000-gallon tank last week that will store the emulsion necessary for repairing the numerous potholes along roadways throughout the city, a project the city has been working toward for more than a year.
