Secret Simon Dear Editor, Toward the end of my time as Sheriff, I was approached by deputies Jarod Smith and Cole Rutherford about dogs for the Sheriff's Office. I told them there were no funds, but I was supportive. They advised they would raise the funds on behalf of the Sheriff's office.

Letter to the editor: My understanding is Chief Deputy Jarod Smith is now leaving Fisher County to go to Anson. There is no announcement from the sheriff. Did he inform the commissioners? That means we have only two deputies in a five-man department. Four deputies have quit in five months.
