The Double Mountain Chronicle had already spent months reviewing Fisher County Sheriff’s Office payroll, overtime, time sheets and related public records before the 32nd Judicial District Attorney prepared an Aug. 12 Brady notice concerning law-enforcement officers.

An estimated 140+ volunteers armed with skid steers, dump trailers and helping hands removed approximately 300 cubic yards of debris in four to five hours Saturday during Rotan's first community-wide cleanup day.

Fisher County Sheriff Seeks $10K Raises After $332K in Overtime

Fisher County commissioners are expected to revisit Sheriff Pat Dickson’s proposal for $10,000 raises for himself, the chief deputy, patrol sergeant and deputies Sept. 14, after the Fisher County Sheriff’s Office paid approximately $332,253 in overtime from Jan. 1, 2025 through Feb. 6, 2026.
