Wildfire risk remains high in much of state

Much of the state remains at considerable risk for wildfires through this week, largely because of higher-than-usual temperatures and drought conditions. More than 40% of the state is suffering extreme drought conditions, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor.

Well it is really nice to have such beautiful weather with the wind and dirt not blowing, just want to stay outside. It is beginning to get warm but I bet we will still have some cold days. Right now we are praying for rain and several inches would be nice, but will take any we can get.

In an effort to assist the county with filling the Stonewall County Shariff Deputy vacancy, the Aspermont Housing Authority is reaching out to entities for a proposal that will provide rent-free housing for future deputies should entities agree to waive the housing authority’s annual payments.

Fisher Sheriff requests funding for jail deficiencies
