Gov. Greg Abbott has asked the Texas Legislature to increase the penalty for illegal voting, adding the item to the third special session now underway. However, House Speaker Dade Phelan, R-Beaumont, quickly rejected the proposal, according to the Austin American-Statesman.

Here goes, hope everyone has had a good week and got some rain. I was in Abilene Thursday when they got 5”. There was water everywhere. I got out of town as soon as I could since places were flooding. I get home and we had got 3 tenth. It always rains on the just and the unjust.
