Rotan fights pothole problem

The Rotan City Council unanimously voted in favor last week to purchase a new machine that could fix the city’s numerous potholes, with council members agreeing that the long-term concerns were outweighed by the potential impact to the pothole problem.

Fisher Commissioners make last-minute budget change before raising taxes

In an unexpected turn of events on Monday, the Fisher County Commissioners voted in a split, 3-1 vote, in favor of a last-minute budget amendment that added another full-time employee to the courthouse roster. The court also approved a tax rate to help fund this year’s $5.4 million budget.
