Well, we had some thunder and lighting last night, but no rain. However they say that we have a chance for rain during this week, so guess we will wait and see. I want to tell all you Old Glory people' that this is the year for the Old Glory School Homecoming.

Fisher County’s Historical Commission met on Tuesday, May 4th with 14 members and 1 guest, Revis Leonard. Two members of long-standing returned this year after a couple year’s absence, Mary Hudnall and Corky Steele. It was wonderful to reunite with old friends.

1 4 Tablespoons butter 1/2 cup flour 1/2 cup evaporated milk 1/2 tsp salt 4 eggs • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. • Melt butter in a 10 inch oven proof skillet. • Combine Milk, flour and salt in mixing bowl; add eggs, one at a time, whipping well after each addition.

Alejandra Perales Garcia, daughter of Jorge Perales and Martha Garcia, was announced as the 2021 Rotan Valedictorian with a grade point average of 101.58. Koy Bell, son of Brad and Paula Bell, was announced as the 2021 Rotan Salutatorian with a grade point average of 97.92.

On its final celebratory day of Nursing Home Week, staff and residents of the Stonewall Living Center took part in the center’s annual balloon release on Saturday. This year's event was even more significant, as only a few feet away was the flattened surface of the Gibson Care Center.
