Figueroa to stand trial next week in Fisher County

Reyes Gaspar Fortuna Figueroa is set to stand trial beginning June 22 in association with the events taking place in late November that resulted in a fatal car crash that took the life of Leticia Ramon and initiated a statewide Amber Alert for Ramon's daughter.

Fisher County begins early budget talks

The Fisher County Commissioners Court entered into its first of several budget workshops on Monday, the first of many that will take place over the next few months in preparation for the upcoming fiscal year.

Rains, wet conditions delay hay producers

Rains and the threat of rain have kept forage producers in hay-producing regions of the state out of fields and behind schedule for the season, according to a Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service expert. Delays represent numerous problems and potential problems for hay producers.

Fisher County Sheriff Report

Fisher County Sheriff’s Office received (119) 911 calls, (31) reports of stray livestock, assisted other agencies on (5) calls, and (152) other calls for service. Fisher County EMS responded to (30) emergency calls and (20) non-emergencies.
