Beef, cattle prices on the rise

Stronger-than-normal seasonal demand for beef is driving fed cattle prices upward, according to a Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service expert. Seasonal beef demand historically rises in the spring, especially leading up to grilling season, which kicks off Memorial Day, said David Anderson Ph.D.

Shortly after resuming court following a heated executive session that resulted in raised voices echoing in the courthouse corridors, Fisher County officials resumed the regular session only to receive warnings and an eventual threat of contempt of court from the county judge on Monday.

Early voting for the upcoming May election starts next week in Stonewall County, with voters preparing to cast ballots for representation within three public entities beginning on Monday, May 19.

The Roby CISD Board of Trustees met on Monday, where after reviewing a few options for upgraded playground equipment to go along with the forthcoming bond construction project, they unanimously voted in favor of installing new playground equipment for elementary students this upcoming August.
