Texas peach and blackberry producers are reporting above-average fruit sets, good growing conditions and very few issues as they near harvests, and are expecting high demand, according to a Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service expert.

Fisher County’s Historical Commission met on Tuesday, May 4th with 14 members and 1 guest, Revis Leonard. Two members of long-standing returned this year after a couple year’s absence, Mary Hudnall and Corky Steele. It was wonderful to reunite with old friends.

1 4 Tablespoons butter
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1/2 tsp salt
4 eggs
• Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
• Melt butter in a 10 inch oven proof skillet.
• Combine Milk, flour and salt in mixing bowl; add eggs, one at a time, whipping well after each addition.

In Monday's special called meeting, the Fisher County Commissioners reconvene from executive session, where they voted unanimously to appoint Randy Ford to the position of Sheriff. Ford took his oath of office later that afternoon.
