Fisher County Sheriff’s Office received (119) 911 calls, (31) reports of stray livestock, assisted other agencies on (5) calls, and (152) other calls for service. Fisher County EMS responded to (30) emergency calls and (20) non-emergencies.

Fisher County Commissioner Gordon Pippin was very informative in a Q&A Session with the Fisher County Historical Commission's members at this month's meeting held June 1st at the Museum in Roby.

Fisher County resident arrested for child pornography

After several weeks of investigation, Justin Barriere of Fisher County was arrested last week on charges related to the possession and promotion of child pornography.

Man arrested for shooting at crop duster

Joe Brent Palmer (71) from Fisher County was arrested Sunday afternoon after allegedly firing upon a crop-dusting airplane that was spraying the field adjacent to his property.

Rotan ISD Board to cut millions from construction project

The Rotan ISD administrators and board members met with representatives from the construction team in an almost three-hour meeting last month in efforts to narrow down the scope of the bond project, hoping to shave near $5 million from the estimated $19.6 million projected cost.
