Two weeks of fall festivities

Local fall festivals begin this Saturday in Aspermont and Rotan will follow to host its festival on Halloween night. Event coordinators are pleased to welcome everyone out for fun, food, and plenty to do during these spooky and entertainment-packed festivals.

Fisher Co. continues in litigation proceedings

The Fisher County Commissioners chose last week to continue to pursue a reasonable settlement in a lawsuit the county began in June, extending from damage done to the courthouse grounds more than a year ago.

AISD Blood Drive

Jason Carter hired as Superintendent

The Roby CISD Trustees were unanimous in their decision last week, officially hiring former principal Jason Carter to take over as the district’s chief educator, taking Roby students through the remaining portion of the 2020- 2021 school year and beyond.

No rate increase to Roby residents for major water storage project

While the community of Roby is expecting the construction of a much-needed water storage tank, city offcials say it would not require a water rate increase to cover the quartermillion in loan repayments for the project.
