In spite of a county wide burn ban, the Stonewall County Fire Department stays busy. On Wednesday, February 9th, the firefighters were called out to a reported grass fire on the corner of Harrison and Buie streets in South Aspermont.

Rotan sells properties in cleanup project

The sale was part of a citywide cleanup effort the council began two years ago, and while the council majority carried the vote, there was hesitancy with other council members about the purchasers’ motivations.
