The Aspermont Lady Hornet Volleyball Team advanced to Regional competition Tuesday night after defeating the Buena Vista Lady Longhorns in a 3-0 sweep. The Longhorns provided a fair challenge to the Hornets, coming up short 25-17 in the first two sets and bringing the third set down to the wire.

The Roby Lions traveled to the Hornet Stadium last week, defeating Aspermont in Friday’s conference game with a final score of 67-34. After a tough defeat against the Hermeigh Cardinals, the Hornets had two weeks to prepare for the Lions.

The Yellowhammers made the long road trip a successful victory to close out nondistrict play by beating Sanderson 48-36 last Friday night. The Hammers clicked on their first offensive series, and the second play, Zac Flores found a wide-open Jaxon Warren on a 23-yard TD pass.
