Unaccompanied Veteran Burial June 9th in Abilene

On Friday, June 9 at 11:00 a.m. sharp, the Texas State Veterans Cemetery At Abilene will conduct an Unaccompanied Veteran Burial for U.S. Army Veteran Private First Class (PFC) Donald Lynn Barefield. Born on March 1, 1948, PFC Barefield served from November 1970 to March 1972.

VBS returns to First Baptist Church of Aspermont

The First Baptist Church of Aspermont is excited to invite children from 3 years old through completed 6th grade back for the first time since a fire destroyed the sanctuary 3 years ago. Registration will be at 5pm on May 30th and VBS begins at 5:30 pm for the two night event.

Egg prices plummet as supplies outpace demand

Egg prices appear to be taking a supply and demand market-driven tumble, according to a Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service expert. Consumers might have noticed lower egg prices over recent weeks, and David Anderson, Ph.D.

ASPERMONT ISD 2023

Aspermont ISD 2023 Valedictorian Wesley Koenig is the son of Kipp and Ryann Koenig. He will be attending South Plains in the fall to to complete his basics before transferring to Texas Tech for an Engineering degree.

ROTAN ISD 2023

2023 Valedictorian April Polvadera is the daughter of Abel Polvadera and Lucia Nopal. She will be enrolling in the TSTC nursing program Janoah Lopez, 2023 Rotan ISD Salutatorian, is the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth Lopez.

Roby CISD Library invites public for summer reading

Roby CISD Library Coordinator Amelia McBeth is pleased to announce the Joy Walker Library will be hosting its inaugural summer reading program, which will be open to the entire community. This year's program theme is 'All Together Now.
