Stonewall County Commissioners increase cemetary rates

After receiving bids for concrete work needed for the recently approved Aspermont Cemetery expansion, the Stonewall commissioners agreed that rate increases were needed to not only offset construction costs but to keep up with annual maintenance of the grounds.

District competition begins this week

Sports teams across the Double Mountains are gearing up for battle with district competitions starting up this week, and the stakes are high moving toward the ultimate goal of state champions.
