AISD to host “Lunch and Learn”

Aspermont ISD and Region 14 Education Service Center is teaming up on April 12, offering lunch while sharing tips with parents about how to help kids overcome feelings of stress and anxiety.
AISD Counselor Teddye Myers explained how the “Lunch and Learn” took shape.

Aspermont Housing Authority offers free deputy housing

In an effort to assist the county with filling the Stonewall County Shariff Deputy vacancy, the Aspermont Housing Authority is reaching out to entities for a proposal that will provide rent-free housing for future deputies should entities agree to waive the housing authority’s annual payments.

The Rotan Serve Youth Group in cooperation with Rotan ISD began gathering donations to assist with the anticipated need within days of the fire that erupted in Eastland County in late March.

Fisher Sheriff requests funding for jail deficiencies

The Fisher County Commissioners received a request last month from the sheriff’s department, asking the court to release ARPA funds to allow to upgrade jail equipment in efforts to better meet state compliance.
