Fisher County Judge Ken Holt seeks re-election

Fisher County Judge Ken Holt is formally announcing he is seeking reelection to a third term as the county’s judge. Holt has been a lifelong resident of Fisher County since 1966.

Stonewall Senior Citizens receive donation from oil company

Shortly after concluding their monthly meeting, Stonewall Senior Citizens Center Board Members accepted a $5000 donation check from Peregrine Petroleum, a final dollar amount that blew the top off the organization's fundraising efforts.

Wow we got up to a little snow on Sunday morning and was it cold, our bodies have been used to eighty degree weather and then it dropped to 12 and it was cold. What a week we have all had, we all tried to get all the Christmas Decorations down and packed away for another year.

Next Year

A new year is upon us. I have seen several wisecracks around the Internet fretting about what might loom in the coming year, given the prior two years. My favorites have been “I didn’t know 2020 would be a trilogy” and the observation that “2022” is pronounced “2020 two.
