COVID vaccines trickle across Double Mountains

The first of the much-anticipated vaccine for COVID-19 have begun making their way into the Double Mountain Region, part of the CDC’s initial allotment for Texans for the remainder of December. Additional allotments could arrive by the end of this month and are anticipated to be larger in January.

Fisher and Stonewall voters head back to polls to fill Texas House seat

Governor Greg Abbott announced on Monday there would be a special election held on January 23, 2021, to fill the Texas House of Representatives District 68 seat, which was recently vacated by former State Rep. and current Senator-elect Drew Springer.

Adding grazing to cover crops can benefit bottom line

Growing dual-purpose wheat for both grazing and grain production is an important agricultural practice in the Southern Great Plains. But of late, more Texas Rolling Plains producers want to know if alternative systems to dual-purpose wheat, such as grazing cover crops, can bring additional value.
