The City of Aspermont and much of Stonewall County continue to receive aid from neighbors far and wide as locals have been rationing water since the city’s main-line ruptured only hours before a week of sub-zero temperatures hit the region.

Rotan ISD sells millions in bonds

With dozens of community members in attendance at the Rotan ISD Board meeting earlier this month, the district’s financial advisor, Jake Lawrence presented good news regarding the successful sale of roughly $15 million in bonds with an interest rate that could save taxpayers money.

It was a happy moment in the City of Aspermont when city officials announced that water was refilling the city's reserve Tuesday night, and although the process to reach the necessary levels was slow, water distribution was expected to begin within the next 48 hours.
