Hornets trounce Guthrie Jags on Senior Night 67-18

The Aspermont Hornets improved to 8-1 last Thursday night after defeating the Guthrie Jaguars 67-18. Start time was backed up a little over an hour due to local storms, but that didn't deter the Hornets' energy in the slightest.

Last Friday, the Roby Lions hosted their first district home game. It was a tough battle for the Lions, as the Ira Bulldogs are one of their fiercest district contenders. In the end, the Lions lost, 0-48 at halftime.

San Angelo, Texas. Home of the undefeated ASU Rams, the Concho Riverwalk, and numerous fun activities. While these are all interesting things, none quite compare to the energy brought into the city by highschoolers across Region 2, as they prepare to take on the UIL Regional Cross Country Meet.

Our local teams had a tough first week of district play, each falling to ranked opponents. The Rotan Yellowhammers were defeated at home 24-70 by the Ira Bulldogs, who forced the mercy rule early in 4th quarter. The Hammers fought to keep up with Bulldogs through the first half.
