Lady Lions got one last test before winning District Meet

Roby Cross Country teams dominated the district meet this week. The Lady Lions won the title of District Champs, while the Lions cam ein second to the Knox City Greyhounds at the District Meet held in Rotan. Three of Lady Lions were able to earn the top three places.

Lions fall in district opener

Last Friday, the Lions competed against the Hermleigh Cardinals. With unfavorable weather conditions, the athletes were forced to compete through the adversity they faced. In the end, Hermleigh took the win, and the Lions entered district 0-1.

Lion XC competes at Rotan Invitational

Last Wednesday, Roby runners participated in the Rotan Invitational Cross Country meet. As a great practice meet for district, it was vital that runners perform to the best of their abilities. Starting off at 2:00 pm were the Lions, waiting for their moment to shine.

District play begins this week for our area teams in both football & volleyball. The UIL realignment which occured this year has brought upon some notable changes to our area's competitive climate.
