Aspermont Hornets work hard to gear up for district

On December 9th, 10th, and 11th, Aspermont hosted a basketball tournament where both varsity teams and the girl's JV competed. The JV held their own against varsity teams, but lost to Eden, Hamlin, and Paducah. The Varsity Girls went 4-0 to win the Championship.

Aspermont Hornets open the season with four game sweep over Hamlin

Tuesday was a successful day for the Hornets with a 4 game sweep over the Hamlin Pied Pipers . The evening started with WINS from the JV girls and the JV boys. Next up was the Varsity Lady Hornets. The team welcomes a new coach this season, Tiffany Potts.

The Lady Hornets put up a good fight on Saturday against the Buena Vista Longhorns but went down swinging. Aspermont lost the Area Championship game in 4 close sets. The Longhorns are a well rounded team and played an exceptional game. The Lady Hornets just came up a little short.
