Lady Hornets bring home silver medals from Childress Tournament

The Lady Hornets traveled to Coleman on August 31 for a preseason matchup. The Lady Hornets were victorious, winning 3 out of 4 sets. The Lady Bluecats took the first set 21-25 and the Lady Hornets answered back, taking the next three sets, 25-23,25-13, and 27-25.

Hammers dominate home opener against Woodson 64-14

Rotan goes 2-0 after beating Woodson 64-14 last Friday night in the Yellowhammers first home game of the season. The Yellowhammers received the opening kickoff and only needed three plays before Zac Flores found a wide open Grayson Jeffrey for a 47 yard TD.

Lions upset Highland for a 2-0 record

It was an exciting week to be a Roby Lion, with athletes pouncing on the competition. Swarming in from Roscoe Highland, the Hornets met their makers against the Pride during last week’s upset and the Roby victory.

Roby Run in Eula Invatational

The Roby Lions participated in the Eula cross country meet Tuesday, September 7th. With over 30 schools and 800 runners participating at the meet, the Roby cross country teams faced their competitors head on and proved themselves to be a force to be reckoned with.

Lions crush Sands in season opener

The Roby Lions JV team performed exceptionally well at their first game of the season, beating the Sands Mustangs 48-0. These boys gave it their all and showed the community what they are capable of. “If you are not first, you're last,” said Dawson Shipp.

Yellowhammer Defense Tames The Longhorns

The Rotan Yellowhammers kicked off the 2021 season Friday night in Bronte, where they defeated the Longhorns 40-6. Jaxon Warren led a solid defensive effort with 10 tackles. Zac Flores and Juan Garza had eight apiece.
