2-a-days begin for Double Mountain student athletes

Student athletes across the state and the Double Mountains are wrapping up summer vacations and starting preseason preparations with two-a-day workouts, as the first day of school begins in a matter of days, and the first game of the season is right around the corner.

Stonewall County Sports Track Success

On July 10th, the Stonewall County Youth Sports track team competed in the TAAF Region 9 track meet in Lubbock. The Hornet team represented Aspermont well and competed against several teams from Lubbock, Snyder, Amarillo, Pampa, Canyon, Paducah, Plains, and Sunray.

Summer sports showdown

A total of 12 football and 12 basketball teams traveled to participate in last week's tournaments. "We are already planning on an estimated 20 teams to compete next year," said Booster President James Flores.
